SYNOPSIS FOR UPCOMING FILM
SEEDS OF CULTURE
LAW PROTECTS, CULTURE SHAPES WHO WE ARE AND LEAVES LASTING IMPRESSION
There is burgeoning widespread campaigns on fighting against domestic violence and all-male violence aimed at women and girls. Every year the United Nations, Governments, and Charity Organisations pour vast sums of money to help survivors and children of survivors. While society is doing a tremendous amount of work on violence against woman and girls more is needed to prevent and thoroughly stump out VAWG as women are still being attacked or killed at worsts. In the UK alone, police get a call about domestic abuse every 30 seconds. In any given situation, there is a cause and effect; we believe in fighting social ills, the solution should only be offered in understanding correlations – cause and effect.
We use film to investigate and surface physiological and psychological impact of male violence on women girls, as well as benefits of a society of – Zero Violence Against Women and Girls. Our goal is to raise more awareness not only by producing visual campaigns to inspire a safe world for women and girls, but to work with legislators to push for change in areas that need improvement to protect women and girls from male violence comprehensively. We do not stop at inspiring society towards Zero Violence Against Women And Girls through still and moving images. Also, we support campaigners produce campaigning content. We engage respectable debates with Artist, Politicians, Law Makers, Faith Leaders to induce a progressive discussion across the globe on influencing attitudes of Zero VAWG in the generation of tomorrow enabling communication between general members of the public and those in positions influence. Using high tech unconventional methods to embrace conventional methods of film making is at the centre of our fight against violence against women and girls.
We aim to influence attitude by creating FREE content for TV, WEB and Print for society to understand the psychological and physiological impact of male violence on women while driving forward a culture of Zero Violence Against Women And Girls across the globe. A Professor of Media Art and Science in America once said, “Art is for expression; Science is for exploration; Engineering is for invention, and Design is for communication”. I believe as a modern society; we can combine all these in our plight to fight domestic violence and all violence aimed at women and girls. We believe there is value in harnessing the power of technology in creating a safe world for girls women. For instance, historically construction materials were made for single-purpose, i.e. glass for windows, bricks for load-bearing, wood for spanning etc. Today designers develop materials for multipurpose. Society has moved on from old ways. Therefore, today culture and law need to adapt the milt-purpose stance if we are going to win the fight on violence aimed at women and girls. This generation can develop the most convincing self-driving cars, build tallest sky scrappers. Still, if that 21st-century technology used to create wonders in construction and engineering is not adapted for driving society towards Zero Violence Against Women and Girls, this generation would have failed.
Relevance To Global Community
Today we travel and marry across cultures, i.e. (Global migration; 90 Day Fiancé etc.) a lot more than before which makes our work a global plight because we now are almost in what was coined by, Marshall McLuhan as a ‘Global Village’. Bringing colliding separate cultures, (Western; African; Asian etc. cultures) together is a platform for bouncing ideas on how each culture can learn from another on fighting VAWG. There are different underlining factors as to why women are subjected to so much male violence from one culture to culture. In instilling ethical values in young people has better value in addressing VAWG globally than trying to solve it in fully grown men who already carry a wrong thought process on VAWG.
